it's possible that FC creates 'scratch' files when you import (specially conformed files that the program accesses when you edit the clips). These files may be buried deep somewhere within that large folder of yours. Go into FC's help docs and see if this is true...idk I've never worked with FC but Premiere Pro does this and you have to keep an eye on it...I just have a separate 160GB HDD for the 'conformed' files
